| Description: Steller's Jay (Cyanocitta stelleri) standing on a big stone at the feets of the Vernal Falls. These birds are typical of the Yosemite national park. It is related to Blue Jays but it has a black head and upper body. It is also called Long-crested Jay, the Mountain Jay, and the Pine Jay. This bird is especially found in the western North America, where it is native from. |
