"Taste and see that Jehovah is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him."  Psalms 34:8

Description:   Black and grey tufa from the Mono Lake, with the lake and sky beside. Tufas are made essentially of common limestone. Spring water rich in calcium mix with water rich in carbonates and this creates these formations over decades to centuries. Tufas grow only underwater, but since 1941 the lake level decreased dramatically, allowing us to see more of them.
